ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA
No. 10 of 1998
AN ACT for the Incorporation of the New Testanlent Church
of God, to vest certain lands therein and matters incidental
thereto.
WHEREAS theNew Testament Church of God has been serving
the people of Antigua and Barbuda since 1960 and subsequently
constructed a Church in Browne's Avenue in 1964: and
WHEREAS theNew Testament Churchof God has grownby the
expansion of its Ministry to include new congregations and affiliate
churches throughout Antigua and Barbuda; and
WHEREAS real property has from time to time been acquired
by and on behalf of the church and its affiliates to expand the work
of the church and to establish a theological academy which will
provide local academic training to any person with a desire to work
in the Ministry of God; and
WHEREAS it is desirable and expedient that theNew Testament
Church of God shall have the right to acquire, hold, deal with and
dispose of movable and immovable property in Antigua and
Barbuda for purposes of the work of the church.

(Incorporation) Act, 1998
ENACTED by the Parliament of Antigua and Barbuda as
follows:
1. This Act may be cited as the New Testament Church of God
(Incorporation) Act, 1998.
2. The New Testament Church of God is hereby constituted a
body corporate under the name and title of "The New Testament
Church of God" with perpetual succession and a common seal and
with power and authority by that name to sue and be sued, to acquire
and to hold real and personal property for all purposes connected
with the administration of the affairs of the New Testament Church
of God in Antigua and Barbuda and with power to sell, mortgage,
alienate, lease, exchange or otherwise dispose of the said property.
3. All deeds of conveyance or reconveyance, mortgages, charges,
leases, transfers, contracts, assignments or other deed and docu-
ments whatsoever and all powers of attorney and all notarial
instruments required to be executed by the New Testament Church
of God shall be deemed sufficiently executed if sealed with its
common seal and subscribed by theExecutive Director or Chairman
of the Board of Directors of the Church for the time being and such
execution shall be valid and effectual at law.
4. All real and personal property in Antigua and Barbuda now
held in any person on behalf of the New Testament Church of God
in Antigua and Barbuda are hereby transferred to and vested in the
New Testament Church of God and its successors for the same
estates and interest and to the extent to which the same were
respectively at the time of the passing of this Act held or vested as
aforesaid, subject to the rights reservations and charges if any, now
affecting the same and the trust upon which the same were respec-
tively at the timeof the passing of this Act heldor vested as aforesaid,
subject to the rights, reservations and charges if any, now affecting
the same and the trusts upon which the same are now held, without
conveyance, transfer or assignment.
5. Nothing in this Act contained shall affect or be deemed to
affect the rights of Her Majesty, her heirs and successors or any body
politic or corporate or of any other person except such as are
mentioned in this Act and those claiming by, from or under them.
