PUBLIC FUNDS (MEANING OF APPROVED SECURITIES)
ORDER 2001

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4A of the Public
Funds Act 1954, the Minister, acting on the advice of the Committee,
makes the following order:

Citation
1 This Order may be cited as the Public Funds (Meaning of
Approved Securities) Order 2001.

Interpretation
2 In this Order "the principal Act" means the Public Funds Act
1954.

Meaning of "approved securities" amended
3 The meaning of "approved securities" is amended in section
4(5)(b) of the principal Act by inserting the following paragraphs after
paragraph (ix)

"(x) securities issued by mutual funds, investment trusts,
investment companies and limited partnerships
wherever established or incorporated;

(xi) futures contracts, options and forward contracts.".
