CIVIL AIRPORTS AMENDMENT (NO. 2) ACT 2008

WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Civil Airports Act 1949:

Be it enacted by The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and
with the advice and consent of the Senate and the House of Assembly of
Bermuda, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Short title
1 This Act may be cited as the Civil Airports Amendment (No. 2)
Act 2008.

Amends section 1
2 Section 1 of the Civil Airports Act 1949 is amended—

(a) by renumbering section 1 as subsection (1); and

(b) by repealing the definition of “Bermuda Airport” and
substituting the following definition—

“ “Bermuda Airport” means the civil airport, known as
the L.F. Wade International Airport, shown in the
Schedule;”; and

(c) by inserting the following new subsections—

“ (2) The Minister may by Order amend the Schedule.

(3) An Order made under subsection (2) shall be
subject to the affirmative resolution procedure.”.

Inserts Schedule
3 The Civil Airports Act 1949 is amended by, immediately after
section 12, inserting the following Schedule—

“SCHEDULE


The original map (ref: DAO/TDC/LD1) is available for inspection during
office hours at the offices of the Department of Airport Operations.”
