Endangered Species (CITES) (Designation and Appointment) (Jersey) Order 2012
THE MINISTER FOR PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENT, in pursuance of Articles 9 and 11 of the Endangered Species (CITES) (Jersey) Law 2012[1], orders as follows –

1 Interpretation
In this Order, “Law” means the Endangered Species (CITES) (Jersey) Law 2012[2].
2 Designation of Scientific Authority
Pursuant to Article 9(1) of the Law, the Minister for Planning and Environment is designated as the Scientific Authority.
3 Appointment of officers
Pursuant to Article 11(1) of the Law, the following persons are appointed to be officers for the purposes of the Law –
(a) an inspector within the meaning of the Diseases of Animals (Jersey) Law 1956[3]; and
(b) a person holding the office of Director of Environmental Policy in a department of the States for which the Minister for Planning and Environment is responsible.
4 Citation
This Order may be cited as the Endangered Species (CITES) (Designation and Appointment) (Jersey) Order 2012.
