The Secretary of State for Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 54(1) and (2) and 63(5) of the Local Government (Wales) Act 1994(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government Reorganisation (Wales) (Property etc.) (Amendment) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 1st April 1996.
Amendment of Local Government Reorganisation (Wales) (Property etc.) Order 1996
2. In the Local Government Reorganisation (Wales) (Property etc.) Order 1996—(2);
(a)in Schedule 2, in column 3, for “72.336320” there shall be substituted “72.366320”;
(b)in Schedule 3, in Part I—
(i)there shall be omitted—
““
Ogmore Residential Education Centre, Ogmore-by-Sea
’”;
(ii)in column 1, for “Dinefwr Borough Council” there shall be substituted “Dyfed County Council” and in column 2, for “11 Rhosmaen Street” there shall be substituted “121 Rhosmaen Street”;
(iii)in column 2, for the entry opposite the words “Gwent County Council” in column 1, beginning with the words “Petty sessional” and ending with the words “Sessions House, Usk” there shall be substituted—
“Petty sessional court-houses and other accommodation provided for the purposes of section 55(1) of the Justices of the Peace Act 1979(a), except the Sessions House, Usk and Shire Hall,, Monmouth”; and
(iv)at the end there shall be added—
“Mid Glamorgan County Council,
Ogmore Residential Education Centre, Ogmore-by-Sea
Bridgend County Borough Council”.

Explanatory Note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the Local Government Reorganisation (Wales) (Property etc.) Order 1996 (“the principal order”) which makes provision for the transfer of property, rights and liabilities of local authorities and other bodies which are subject to abolition by virtue of the Local Government (Wales) Act 1994.
Article 2 of the order effects minor amendments to Schedules 2 and 3 of the principal order.
