   § 45-31-27  Payments made subject to rules

and regulations. –

Upon presentation of evidence satisfactory to the agency of the fact of

relocation, there may be paid to each individual, transient, or family, a sum

of money in accordance with a schedule of payments adopted by the agency based

upon the number of occupied rooms. In the case of business concerns, the sum of

money to be paid is based upon the actual necessary moving expense incurred and

any direct losses sustained to personal property, but not goods kept for sale,

good will, or profit. These payments are made subject to rules and regulations

that may be prescribed by the agency, and shall not exceed one thousand five

hundred dollars ($1,500) in the case of each transient, individual, or family,

or seven thousand five hundred dollars ($7,500) in the case of each business

concern.
