SECTION 23-21-8



   § 23-21-8  Penalties for violations. –

Any person who shall be guilty of violating any of the provisions of this

chapter or the regulations adopted in accordance with this chapter may for the

first offense be punished by a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100) or

be imprisoned for a term not exceeding three (3) months; for the second offense

may be punished by a fine not exceeding two hundred dollars ($200) or be

imprisoned for a term not exceeding six (6) months; and for a third or

subsequent offense may be punished by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars

($500) or be imprisoned for a term not exceeding one year or by both this fine

and imprisonment, or have its license suspended or revoked.
