Coroner to be jailer, when.

221.030. The sheriff may be imprisoned in the jail of his own county; and

for the time that he shall be confined, the coroner shall have the custody,

rule, keeping and charge of the said jail, and shall, by himself and his

sureties, be answerable for the faithful discharge of his duties in that

office.
