The Texas Department of Human Services (DHS) assesses distribution costs, processes claims, and handles program funds according to 7 Code of Federal Regulations §250.15. The fees assessed must not exceed the amount allowed by the Human Resources Code, §33.006. DHS does not pursue a claim for a loss that does not exceed $100 unless there is evidence of violation of federal or state statutes.
