The Central Steering Committee for the program on solidification of schools and classrooms is com-posed of the Minister of Education and Training as its head; a Vice Minister of Education and Training as its deputy head; and representatives of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Government�s Office and the Steering Committee for Enterprise Renovation and Development as its members.

The Steering Committee is tasked to:

- Assist the Prime Minister in directing the implementation of the program on solidification of schools and classrooms under the Prime Minister�s Decision No. 159/2002/QD-TTg of November 15, 2002;

- Inspect, urge, organize briefings, and evaluate the results of, implementation of the program, review the situation, periodically report to the Prime Minister and propose to him forms of merit acknowledgement, commendation and reward of collectives and individuals that make great contributions to the implementation of the program.
