THE PRIME MINISTER

DECISION No. 689/QD-TTg of August 7, 1998 on writing history of the anti-French resistance war and the Nam Ky uprising, carried out by people and army in the inter-zones

The Prime Minister has assigned the History Institute of the National Center for Social Sciences and Humanities to assume the prime responsibility in coordination with the Institute of Party's History under the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, the Institute of Army's History under the Ministry of Defense, the Board for the Review of the People's Police's History under the Ministry of Public Security and the Party Central Committee's Archives Department, to organize the writing of the anti-French-resistance history of the army and people of inter-zones No. 3 and 4, the Viet Bac Zone and Tay Bac Zone, etc., and the history of the Nam Ky uprising (November 23, 1940).

The Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment shall have to evaluate and approve the contents, evaluate the project for acceptance and manage them as well as other State-level scientific studies; coordinate with the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Finance in allocating fund for the compilation work.-
