JOINT CIRCULAR No. 40/1998/TTLT-BGDDT-BYT of July 18, 1998 guiding the medical insurance for pupils

All students of from the primary education schools to universities or colleges of various types (public, semi-public, people-funded and regular education centers) are entitled to participate in the medical insurance for pupils and students, which covers the primary healthcare at school medical stations, medical examinations and treatments, and death allowances.

This Circular provides guidance on: the scope of medical insurance for pupils and students; the rights and responsibilities of the insured; the rights and responsibilities of the insurers; the levels of premiums for medical insurance for pupils and students and the use of the fund(s) of medical insurance for pupils; the issue of pupil medical insurance cards and medical examination and treatment tickets.-
