RESOLUTION No.6/1998/NQ-CP of June 1st, 1998 on the May 1998 regular meeting.

On May 27 and 28, 1998, the Government held its May 1998 regular meeting to discuss and resolve the following issues:

-The approval of the plan for implementing the program for planting 5 million hectares of forests; it assigned the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to coordinate with the concerned agencies in finalizing as soon as possible the Decision on the implementation of the program for 5 million hectare afforestation, then submit it to the Prime Minister for signing its promulgation in June 1998.

- The approval of the report on the major socio-economic issues in the first five months of 1998 and the solutions thereto for the months to come.

- The approval of the draft Decree promulgating Vietnam's Regulation on the foreign exchange management and assigning the State Bank to coordinate with the concerned agencies in finalizing such draft then submit it to the Prime Minister for signing its promulgation in June 1998.- (Summary)
