IMPORTATION AND TRADE Law 27492 Act No. 26,473. Modification. The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation assembled in Congress, etc. sanction with force
Law:
Article 1 - Amend article 1 of Act 26,473, which shall read as follows:
Article 1.- As of 31 December 2010, the import and commercialization of general residential lamps throughout the territory of the Argentine Republic is prohibited. The import and marketing ban will be extended to halogen lamps in all their types and models throughout the national territory, beginning on 31 December 2019.
Art. 2° — Amend Article 3 of Law 26.473, which shall read as follows:
Article 3.- The national executive branch may dictate the necessary measures to facilitate the importation, inputs, components, parts and/or equipment necessary for the production of low-consumption lamps and LED technology, reducing or releasing them from import taxes and taxes through the powers conferred upon it in the Argentine Republic Customs Code. Such measures may favour the importation of lamps from both technologies, when information from the sectoral chambers shows the impossibility of local production.
