CONMEMORATIONS Law 25.633 Establish on March 24 as the National Day of Memory for Truth and Justice. Sanctioned: August 1, 2002 promulgated: August 22, 2002

The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation assembled in Congress, etc. sanction with force of Law:

ARTICLE 1 Introduce yourself on 24 March as the National Day of Memory for Truth and Justice in commemoration of those who were victims of the process initiated at that date in 1976. ARTICLE 2 Within the Federal Council for Culture and Education, the Ministry of Education of the Nation and the educational authorities of the different jurisdictions will agree on the inclusion in the respective school calendars of sessions alusive to the National Day established by the previous article, which consolidate the collective memory of society, generate feelings contrary to all types of authoritarianism and encourage the permanent defence of the rule of law and the full observance of human rights. Article 3 Please refer to the national executive branch for the implementation of specific activities in the different areas of its competence, in the same sense as the provision for the educational community in the previous article of this Act.
