CODIGO PROCESSAL CIVIL AND TRADE OF NATION Law 25.624 Modification. Sanctioned: July 17, 2002. Promulgated: August 6, 2002.

The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation assembled in Congress, etc. sanction with force of Law:

ARTICLE 1 Amend article 46 of the Code of Civil and Commercial Procedure of the Nation, which shall read as follows:

Article 46: The person who is in trial for a right which is not his or her own, even if he or she is pleased to exercise it under a legal representation, shall, with his or her first writing, accompany the documents which prove the character he or she invises.

If the impossibility of submitting the document, already granted, is invoked to justify the representation and the judge considers the reasons to be compliant, he may agree on a period of up to twenty (20) days for the accompanying document, subject to the expectation that the representation invoking is not available.

Parents who appear on behalf of their children shall not have the obligation to submit the relevant provisions, unless the judge, at the request of a party or of his or her own motion, places them under the notice of the payment of the costs and damages they cause.
