His Excellency President of the Nation:

I am pleased to address His Excellency Mr. President, in order to submit to your consideration the attached bill of law for which the superior “post mortem” is promoted, dated 30 April 1973, to Mr. Rear Admiral (R.E.) D. HERMES JOSE QUIJADA, who has lost his life today, as a result of an attack attributed to terrorism that dismembers the Nation in this hour of institutional definition.

The fact that, even in its current situation of effective withdrawal, one of the Armed Forces of the Republic has undoubtedly been decisive in the election of this new victim of subversion.

I am aware of the information provided by the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, as proposed by the Minister of Defence, and in the use of the legislative powers conferred upon him by article 5 of the Statute of the Argentine Revolution,

THE PRESIDENT OF THE ARGENTINA SANCIONA NATION AND PROMULGA WITH FORCE OF LEY:

ARTICLE 1 Promute to the immediate superior degree "post mortem", dated 30 April 1973, to Mr.Re Admiral (R.E.) D. HERMES JOSE QUIJADA.

ARTICLE 2 Communicate, give yourself to the National Directorate of the Official Register, publish in Public Naval Bulletin, attach a copy to the personal legajo of the causator and arch yourself at the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy.
