LAW ON THE USE OF MENORES IN CRIMES OR DELITOS

Bearing in mind that the H. National Congress has given its approval to the following bill initiated in a motion of the Honorable Senators Mr. José Miguel Insulza Salinas, Mrs. Isabel Allende Bussi and Mr. Alvaro Elizalde Soto, and in motion of the Honorable Senators Manuel José Ossandón Irarrázabal and Rafael Prohens Espinosa,

Bill:

"Unique item. Hold on. article 72 of Criminal Codefor the following:

"Article 72. Where the offence is committed with the intervention of one or more persons under the age of eighteen and above the age of fourteen, the menimum or the minimum degree of the sentence, as appropriate, shall be excluded with respect to those who have participated in it.

In addition, the penalty shall be increased to one degree to the age of eighteen when the crime or mere offence is committed or perpetrated with the intervention of one or more persons under the age of fourteen.

The consent given by a minor of eighteen years shall not exempt the person of this age from the application of the rules set out in the preceding paragraphs. "..

And for I have had it good to approve and punish it; therefore, promute and take it into effect as the Law of the Republic.
