LAW NO. 20,607 MODIFIES THE LABOR CODE, SANCTIONING THE PRACTICES OF LABOR HARASSMENT Having present that the H. National Congress has given its approval to the following bill initiated in a motion by the honourable Members Adriana Munoz D' Albora and Ximena Vidal Lazaro and of Deputies Fidel Espinoza Sandoval and Enrique Jaramillo Becker. Bill: " Article 1 °.-Please introduce the following amendments to the Labour Code: 1) Attaché, in the second paragraph of Article 2 °, following the separate point (.) which becomes a point followed (.), the following sentence: " Likewise, it is contrary to the dignity of the person the harassment of work, understanding for such conduct that constitute repeated aggression or harassment, exercised by the employer or by one or more workers, against another or other workers, by any means, and which has as a result for him or those affected their impairment, abuse or humiliation; or or which threatens or damages their employment status or their opportunities in employment. " 2. In issue 1) Article 160: (a) Substitute in point (d) the comma (,) and the copulative combination "and" following it, by a semicolon (;). (b) Replace in point (e) the final point (.) by a comma (,) followed by the joint and "y". (c) Add the following new point (f): "(f) Conduct of workplace harassment." (3) In Article 171: (a) Substitute in the second subparagraph of the conjunction 'and' between expressions '(a)' and '(b)' by a comma (,) and add as follows: '(b)' the following: 'and (f)' (b) In the sixth indent, the words 'If the worker has invoked the cause of (b)', the words '(b)' shall be added to the words '(b)'. expression "or f)". Article 2.-Amend Article 84 of Law No. 18,834, Administrative Statute, the consolidated, coordinated and systematized text of the decree with force of law No 29, 2005, of the Ministry of Finance, as follows: (a) Substitute in (k) the expression ", and" by a semicolon (;). (b) Replace in point (l) the final point (.) by a comma (,) followed by the copulative conjunction "and" (c) Add the following letter m), new: " m) Carry out any act qualified as work harassment in the terms provided for in the second subparagraph of the Article 2 of the Labour Code. " Article 3.-Amend Article 82 of Law No. 18,883, Administrative Staff Regulations for Municipal Officials, as follows: (a) Replace the words ", and" with a semicolon (;). (b) Replace in point (l) the final point (.) by a comma (,) followed by the copulative conjunction "and" (c) Add the following letter m), new: " m) Carry out any act qualified as work harassment in the terms provided for in the second subparagraph of the Article 2 of the Labor Code.
