LAW NO. 20,020 AUTHORIZES TO ERECT MONUMENTS IN MEMORY OF FATHER ALBERTO |! | HURTADO IN THE DIFFERENT COMMUNES OF THE COUNTRY Having present that the H. National Congress has |! |given its approval to the following Bill: " Article 1.-Autorizase erect monuments in the different communes of the country, in memory of Father Alberto Hurtado Cruchaga. Article 2.-The works will be financed through popular erogations, obtained through public collections, donations and other private contributions. The public collections referred to in the preceding paragraph shall be made on the dates determined by the special commission to be created for the purpose, in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior. Article 3.-Authorize the creation, in each commune, of a fund intended to receive the services, donations and other contributions mentioned in the preceding article. Article 4-Create a special committee composed of members ad honorem, responsible for implementing the objectives of this law, which will be constituted by: (a) Two Senators and two Deputies; (b) The Minister of Education, or who appoints in his (c) Two representatives appointed by the Provincial of the Company of Jesus in Chile; (d) The Director of the National Museum of Fine Arts or his representative, and (e) The mayors of the respective communes. The Senators and Deputies will be appointed by their respective Chambers. The quorum for sessioning shall be that of the majority of its members. Article 5.-The commission shall have the following functions: (a) determine the date and the manner in which the public collections referred to in Article 2 are to be carried out, as well as to carry out the necessary steps for their implementation; b) Determine the location of the monument, in coordination with the respective the municipality and the Council of National Monuments, and to dispose and monitor their construction, subject to compliance with the provisions of Article 18 of Law No 17.288, on National Monuments; (c) Call for a public tender of projects for the execution of the works, establish their bases and resolve them; d) Manage separately the funds created by the Article 3, and (e) Open a special current account for each of the funds that are set up pursuant to Article 3.
