By order of the Minister of Transport, Equipment, Tourism and the Sea in On 29 December 2006, Mr Gérard Valère, General Engineer of the bridges and roads, was appointed head of the maritime and navigation service of Languedoc-Roussillon, in addition to his duties, from 1 January 2007.
